Elcommtech Corporation introduces new product - ECT055 designed to allow transmission of high-speed RS-485 data signals over fiber optic cable(s). Elcommtech Corporation announces it's new product ECT055 designed to allow duplex transmission of RS-485 data signals over fiber optic cable(s). Model ECT055 is a high-speed duplex fiber optic data modem for transmitting one bi-drectional RS-485 data channel over a single fiber optic cable or a pair of fiber optic cables. The system is designed to support errorless data transmission with data speeds ranging from DC to 1 MBit/sec. The system support 2 and 4 wire RS-485 interfacing and speed-independent RS-485 transmission. The ECT055 is compatible with 12 VDC/VAC and 24 VAC power sources. The system features separate LED indicators for power, link status and data flow for field testing and troubleshooting.
